The Tradition
More Than a Fundraiser.
A Human Connection.
At every Alms Society gathering, we close the evening with something no dollar amount can replicate, the written words of every person in the room, sent directly to the organization we supported that night.
Guests are invited to visit The Society Notes table before they leave. They pick up a pen, choose a prompt or write freely, and leave a piece of themselves for someone else.

How it Works

At every Alms Society gathering, a dedicated notes table is prepared.

Each guest chooses a prompt or writes from the heart. An encouragement, a prayer, a truth, your vision, anything that feels true to give to a stranger in need.

After every event, all notes are collected, tied with ribbon, sealed with the Alms Society wax stamp, and hand-delivered by the founder to the partner organization within 7 days.
The Writing Prompts
A Place to Begin
Every Society Note card includes four prompts to guide guests who aren't sure where to start. Guests may choose one, or set it aside and write whatever is on their heart.
"A word of encouragement I would want someone to hear..."
"Something I know to be true about your worth and strength..."
"A prayer, a hope, or a wish I am sending with this note..."
"I was here tonight thinking of you. What I want you to know is..."
After the Evening
Big ideas, real impact.
The delivery of The Society Notes is its own ceremony. It is the moment when the evening extends beyond the venue and reaches the people it was always meant to serve.

All notes are collected at the end of the evening, tied with ribbon, and placed in a beautiful box sealed with the Alms Society wax stamp.
Collected & Prepared
Within 7 days of every event, the founder personally delivers the notes to the partner organization. This is never delegated. It is always personal.
Hand-Delivered
The delivery is documented and shared on Alms Society social media, with the organization's permission, so every guest who wrote a note knows it arrived.
